    • LIke her brother Robert, was baptised as an adult (as shown in the baptismal record).

      A Maria Burtsal, who looks like she was the daughter of William Burtsal, married Walter Spencer in 1852 at St John the Evangelist in Lambeth. That marriage notice shows that her father was a policeman, so probably the right William Burtsal. So was this Maria Burtsal a different person from Mary Ann? Or did she just modify her name when she married?
