Early Life
According to Foster's Yorkshire Pedigrees1, Anne Sutton was the daughter of Sir Henry Sutton of Averham. But I wonder about this relationship...I can't find her in any Sutton family tree, insofar as no Sir Henry Sutton of the right era seems to have had a daughter (named Anne or otherwise) who married into the Bosvile family.
One option (for Anne's father) is the Henry Sutton who was the son of Robert Sutton (d. 1500) and Elizabeth Stanley; this Henry (who died 1492) married Alice Byron and had a son and heir, Thomas, who died in 1526.
There's another option, which is Sir Henry Sutton, son of the Thomas described above (and so grandson of the Henry); this Sir Henry married twice, firstly to Alice Hall and secondly to Alice Harrington. By his second wife Alice Harrington, this Sir Henry had a daughter called Anne, but she is listed as having married (first) Walter Haddon and (second) Henry Cobham, with no mention of a marriage to Thomas Bosvile.
The visitation of Nottinghamshire clearly labels the second Henry as a Knight, but not the first, which would imply that this is the more likely father for Anne Sutton of this page. The same visitation shows that Sir Henry had other daughters, by both his marriages, named Olive, Elizabeth, Barbara and Agnes who are shown with no spouses. Perhaps Anne Sutton of this page was actually one of these daughters (Anges seems the most cognate)?
On the other hand, the Sir Henry son of Thomas was probably born far too late to be the father of Anne and indeed was more likely the age of her children.
Perhaps one option is that Foster conflated the Henry Sutton, son of Robert (who was of the right age to be Anne's father) with his grandson, the Sir Henry who married Alice Hall and Alice Harrington. This would make Anne Sutton of this page a sister of Thomas Sutton (who died 1526). We know, from independent sources, that this Thomas Sutton was born around 1470 - if he had a sister Anne born around 1480 or 1490 then she would have been of the right age to be the wife of Thomas Bosvile and mother of Lucy Bosvile, though the dates are a bit of a stretch.
