  Was the *brother* of David Maule of Boath, not the son (confirmed by both french pedigree, red book, and Registrum de Panmure acr 328). George's elder brother David of Boath was born bef. 1541 French ped shows him fl. 1561 He and his wife were granted Cairncorthie by his brother David in 1614, which means they must have been married by then. But probably long before that. Guestimate born c. 1545 to make him a younger brother of David.
