      The 1816 version of Ducatus Leodiensis says Robert's wife was called Mary Smith, of London, but in the Parish Registers for Adel her name is given as Isabell Smyth, of Adel. I follow the latter, because we have a marriage record that clearly gives her name (see below)

      Robert married Isabel Smyth on the 16th of May 1614 at St John the Baptist, the Adel parish church.
