    • Early Life
      Esther Midgley was born in 1669 and baptised on the 28th of April at St John the Baptist in Adel, Leeds. Her parents were Ralph Midgeley, a yeoman farmer in Breare, and his wife Francis Burnistone.

      Online trees identify Esther to have been born in April 1669, daughter of Ralph Midgeley (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:J938-5V4) and baptised in Adel, Yorkshire. The Wikipedia entry for the Lupton family also has this fact, indicating that Ralph was a yeoman farmer in Brearey. The fact that Esther later married Francis at Adel (in the same church) gives me some confidence that this is the correct person.

      Death
      I can't find any death records for Esther in Leeds. Her youngest son John was born in 1707, so she would have died some time between 1707 and 1779, most likely before 1750.
