      Almost every pedigree I've found Ancestry puts Mary Higson's date of birth as 1715, which would mean she was only 15 when she married William Lupton in 1730. Whilst this isn't impossible, it does seem very unlikely, particularly as there is no record of her having been under-age when she married.

      One exception is the (public) tree on FamilySearch, which has her dob as 1703, but with no sources. This is a far more likely age, given that William her spouse was born in 1700.

      Another possibility, is a Mary Higgeson born in 1708 and baptised on the 20th April at St Peter, Huddersfield.
