  Early Life Elizabeth Fox was born roughly 1570s, probably after 1575 assuming she was younger than her spouse. Oldest child Lucy born in 1598, meaning Elizabeth must have been born prior to 1580 to be of age at time of birth. Her parents were Edward Fox of Greete in Shropshire and Katherine Crowther. There is a baptismal record for an Elizabeth Foxe at Condover in Shropshire in 1579 but that seems too far away. No father is given. The Shropshire Registers1 says her father was called George (whereas Lincolnshire Pedigrees2 gives him as Edward, as does the Visitation of Shropshire 16233).
