    • Early Life
      Christopher Whichcote was born on the 31st of April 1571, to Christopher Whichcote and Lucy Bosvile.

      Family Life
      Christopher married Elizabeth Fox, presumably circa 1597/early 1598. They had 11 children:

      1. Lucy, bapt. 8 Oct 1598
      2. Edward, bapt. 24 Sept 1599
      3. Charles, bapt. 7 Dec 1600
      4. Christopher, bapt. 20 March 1603 who became the Governor of Windsor Castle and married Katherine Large

      6. Elizabeth, bapt. 2 August 1604
      7. Sara, bapt. 18 March 1606
      8. Katherine, bapt. 4 July 1607
      9. Anne, bapt. 2 August 1608
      10. Benjamin, bapt. 15 Mar 1609/10; d. 1683, became Provost of King's College Cambridge

      12. Jeremias, their youngest, baptised 1614.


      Death
      Christopher died at the beginning of April 1620. His will was proved at the end of June and reads as follows:
      First, I commit my soule into the hands of Almighty god hoping to be saved ... ... ... and my body to be committed to plain burial where it shall please my ?? my farm of who shall prefer at my decease. I make and appoint my loving wife to be my sole executor. I will that my son Edward shall be placed in one of the Innes of Courte and to have thirty pounds per annum for his present allowance. I will that my son Charles if he cannot be placed to his mynde(?) with a marchannt shall be sent to one of the ?? sities and give twentie pounds per annum for present allowance. Other things I leave to the discretion of my Executor.
      Dated the first of April 1520.
