The sixth brother, Patric, married one ___ Glenn, daughter of a gentlemen of the neighbourhood where he was Minister, viz. Enderwick, a very frugal wife, but not altogther so prudent as his station and disposition required; and he had childre by her, Hames, Alexander, Archibald and Elizabeth. He lived in very good esteem and usefullness in his Ministry, and among the gentry in that whole country, and left his family competently provided; died of middle age, and was buried with great regret at the church where he was Minister.

Patrick Hamilton...MA (Edinburgh, 29th July 1603); pres. by James VI, 2nd and adm. 19th May 1608. HE signed the protestation for the Liberties of the Kirk 25th June 1617; was a member of the General Assembly 1638; died 29th Feb 1640 in his 60th year. He married (contract 23rd September 1608) Elspeth [cf Elizabeth elsewhere] daughter of Robert Glen of Inschkerie and had issue: Archibald; Elizabeth, Alexander (apprenticed 12th Dec 1627 to James Leslie, tailor, Edinburgh); James (merchant, 1634).
