    • Early Life
      Elizabeth FitzWilliam must have been born in the mid-late 1550s (no later than 1563, given that she married in 1584). Her parents were Charles Fitzilliam of Saundby and Mary Littlebury.

      Family Life
      Elizabeth married twice; firstly to Sir George Gylby, secondly1 to Richard Bolle in 1611.

      Familiae Minorum1 says the following (whilst neglecting to mention the second marriage):
      Elizabeth, dau. & h. of Charles Fitzwilliam, son of Humphry of Clayworth (see Harl. 1187, f. 117); her father was of Bole, co. Notts; living 1631 at Hayton; to have £30 a year by will of her son Thos out of his lands at Morton
      . There seems to be some confusion between Bole, the place, and Bole, the possible second husband.
