      The Salopian Journal (6 May 1835, page 2) reads:
      On the 24th ult, at her son's, Mr James Stephens, Harpton, near Presteign, at the advanced age of 89, Hanna, relict of the late Mr Lawrence Stephens, of Cotmore, Herefordshire, and last surviving sister of Mr Meredith of Birmingham.
