    • Early Life
      Damaris Worthington was the daughter of the Rev. John Worthington (the Rector of Fen Ditton in Cambridgeshire at the time) and his wife Mary Whichcote; Damaris was born on the 2nd of April 1661 and baptised on the 23rd at Fen Ditton.

      Family Life
      Damaris married Nathaniel Turner on the 27th of April 1685 at Canterbury in Kent.

      Death
      Damaris died on the 1st of October 1703 and was buried on the 5th at St Dunstan-in-the-West in London. Her armorial bearings are/were shown at St Dunstan's Church in London:
      Damaris, wife of Mr. Nathaniel Turner, Citizen and Skinner, and of this parish linendraper, "a gentlewoman well descended," dau. of the Rev. Dr. Worthington, Master of Jesus coll. Camb. and Rector of Fen Ditton; ob. Oct 1, 1703 (epitaph in Denham1, p.33). Ar. a cross Az. pierced of the Field, betw. four quatrefoils Gu. and in the centre a millrind Sa.n Turner; impaling Arg. three dung-forks, and in chief an annulet Sa. Worthington

      1"Denham" refers to Views exhibiting the exterior & interior & principal monuments of the very ancient and remarkable church of St. Dunstan in the West by Joshua Frederick Dunham. Unfortunately I have yet to find a digitised version of this book.
