1833. To the memory of Arthur Haultain, Captain in the 17th Regiment, Madras Native Infantry who departed this life on the 10th day of May, Anno Domini 1833, in the 43rd year of his age. His brother officers by whom he was much esteemed and revered and a few friends in testimony of their sincere affection have caused this tomb to be inscribed.
