  • Notes
    • Early Life
Charles Parsons was born c. 1660; his father was John Parsons of Kemerton in Worcestershire. He was evidently the younger son as his older brother John inherited the Kemerton properties.

      Family Life
Charles married Mary Turner on the 25th of April 1689 at Kemerton. Details of their marriage settlement with Mary's mother and Charles' father are available at Gloucestershire Archives.

They had at least three daughters, two of whom survived to adulthood:

      1. Elizabeth, b. 1691, died aged 14 in 1705 and buried at St Giles in Bredon
      2. Susannah, b. 1693
      3. Mercy (named possibly after her maternal grandmother), b. 1703 and who married Thomas Hayward of Quedgeley in Gloucestershire in 1732

A little more detail on the daughters.

      Death
Charles Parsons died in March 1732 and was buried on the 11th at St Giles in Bredon. His wife Mary survived him for 7 years. His daughter Mercy was named as sole executrix to his will, which was dated 17311.

Minor details regarding his grave are available at GraveStonePhotos and also at Google Books. The Mercy Turner listed on the same memorial stone is his mother-in-law.
