    • Early Life
      Frances Nelson was the daughter of Richard Nelson and Margaret Adams; her exact date of birth is not known but she was probably born around 1695, given that she married in 1716 and that her son Nelson Burtsal was born in 1735 (it's unlikely Frances was much older than 45 when she had her son).

      Family Life
      'of Bungay' in her marriage record, she married William Burtsal of Ludham in Norfolk, at St Stephen in Norwich, on the 29th of April 1716.

      Death
      Frances died on the 31st of January 1760. A memorial at St Mary's in Bungay reads as follows:
      In memory of MARGARET the wife of RICHARD NELSON Gent. who died Decr 2nd 1727
      Also of MARGARET FENN
      and
      FRANCES BURTSAL
      her two daughters
      the former died Sepr1st 1738
      the latter died Janry 31st 1760
